Project / Newa family foundation

Nyikwa Ezra Welfare Association (NEWA) is a family association that brings together all the grandchildren of the Late Ezra Onyango Nyangalo, their children, and spouses.

The word "Nyikwa" is a Luo word for the descendants. However, NEWA adopted it to appreciate the role played by our late grandfather in bringing cohesion and peaceful coexistence with his neighbors during early 1980.

The association was, therefore, formed to honor the legacy of the Late Ezra Onyango Nyangalo in advocating peace, cultural diversity, agricultural production, education, and social welfare.

NEWA is formed on four pillars namely peace, unity, oneness, and prosperity.
